Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes Evea different from other period tracking apps like Flo, Clue, or Stardust?

Evea is more than a period tracker, it's a personalized PMS relief tool that combines your wearable data, symptom logs, and cycle to surface science-backed, actionable insights. While other apps give static advice, Evea learns your patterns to help you predict and manage symptoms like cramping, mood swings, and fatigue.

2. How do I switch from Flo, Clue, Stardust, or Aavia to Evea?

You can absolutely bring your historical cycle and symptom data into Evea. Here's how to export your data from other period tracking apps:

From Flo

To export your data from the Flo app:

  • Open the Flo app and go to Menu → Help → Contact Us
  • Or email support@flo.health directly
  • Request an export of your period data
  • Flo will email you a JSON file of your data
  • Save the file, and we'll help you import it into Evea.

From Clue

  • Open the Clue app and tap the More Menu (☰) in the top-right corner
  • Tap Settings → Download my data
  • Tap Request data
  • Copy the temporary password provided
  • Check your email for a message from Clue with a download link
  • Tap Download data and save the .zip file
  • Use the copied password to extract your data
  • You're now ready to upload your cycle history into Evea.

From Stardust, Aavia, or other apps

  • Contact the app's support team and request an export of your cycle and symptom data
  • Most will provide it as a JSON or CSV file upon request
  • Once you have your file, you can upload it into Evea or send it to us at eveacycle@gmail.com and we'll help you transition.

3. How can Evea help relieve PMS, cramping, and mood swings naturally?

Evea looks at patterns in your biometrics (like sleep, stress, HRV) and daily logs to identify what may be driving your PMS symptoms. You'll get personalized research-backed suggestions such as breathwork, nutrition guidance, or adjusting training intensity, based on your cycle phase and actual data.

With our beta users, we've been able to surface insights like "Over the past two years, when you've experienced high stress three days before your period, you've also experienced more cramping. Try some stress management techniques (breathwork, yoga, meditation) today as you prepare for your upcoming menstruation."

No more one-size-fits-all advice, this is PMS support that's truly personal.

4. Do I need a wearable like Oura, WHOOP, or Apple Watch to use Evea?

No, but if you wear one, Evea becomes even more powerful. We integrate with most major wearable platforms to analyze your sleep, stress, activity, and heart rate, all in sync with your cycle, to give smarter, real-time recommendations.

Without a wearable? You can still log symptoms manually and receive tailored insights based on trends.

5. Is my data safe and private with Evea?

Yes. Evea is built with privacy-first principles, we will never sell or share your health information. Your data is processed securely in Google Cloud using a managed endpoint with open source AI models. This means that our data is not stored or used for training. We do not share your data with external AI vendors like OpenAI or Anthropic.

6. Can Evea help me after I stop taking birth control?

Yes. Many women feel lost post-pill, Evea helps track phase-based hormonal changes and symptoms as you regain a natural rhythm, offering insights tailored to your transition.

7. Can Evea improve my workouts and nutrition with cycle syncing?

Yes. Evea gives cycle-aware fitness and nutrition suggestions, helping you time your workouts and meals to align with energy, metabolism, and recovery patterns across phases.

Whether you're training hard or managing fatigue, we optimize recommendations to your specific goals for menstruation, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal phases.

8. What does "phase-aware" personalization mean?

It means we don't just track periods. We track you across all four menstrual cycle phases, helping you understand what's likely to happen before symptoms hit.

For example: "Cramping tends to follow 2 days of elevated stress, try wind-down yoga tonight."

9. Who is Evea best suited for?

Evea is built for women who want to understand and manage PMS, especially those:

  • Off or avoiding hormonal birth control
  • Using wearables
  • Seeking natural alternatives to symptom management
  • Frustrated by generic health apps

If you've ever felt dismissed or told "this is normal," Evea is for you.
